THE BUZZ: Warner Bros. has announced a Game of the Year Edition for Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham City.
The package will include the original game plus the Catwoman, Robin and Nightwing DLC add-ons, and the Arkham City Skin Challenge Map Pack.
The previously rumored Harley Quinn’s Revenge DLC will also be bundled in. The expansion is billed as the final chapter in the Arkham City story and takes place after the game’s ending. Harley Quinn’s Revenge will also be available to download from May 29. Finally you will also receive a downloadable version of the Year One Batman animated movie.
The Game of the Year Edition will release May 29 in the U.S.
EGM’s TAKE: It’s no surprise that one of the most critically acclaimed games of last year gets a Game of the Year release. It’s the perfect fit: massive first run sales, plenty of DLC and a big fan base. The announcement of the Harley Quinn DLC will also go down well, with fans itching for more Arkham action. However, a few may be slightly annoyed at yet another game offering DLC that adds a “true” ending.
Will you be picking up this edition? What do you think of the new DLC? Let us know in the comments below.
