Warner Bros. Interactive released a new trailer for Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate intercut with motion comic cutscenes.

The video (embedded below) contains some quick gameplay shots of the Metroidvania-style Arkham title. It also suggests that Batman spends an alarming amount of his time lurking about Gotham’s various prisons after the city’s supervillains assume control of them.

Seeing how this is a prequel, you have to wonder if he spent the entirety of Arkham Asylum having an inner monologue about deja vu.

Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate launches on 3DS and PlayStation Vita October 25 alongside Arkham Origins for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
