Batman: Arkham Origins Has Rocksteady’s Blessing

Posted on April 10, 2013 AT 11:39am

While series creator RockSteady Studios may not be handling development of Batman: Arkham Origins, the new devs definitely have their blessing.

“Rocksteady is excited to see WB Games Montreal developing the prequel to the Batman Arkham franchise,” Hill told Game Informer. “We are confident this talented team will craft a fantastic experience, bringing the origins of the Arkhamverse to life.

Origins was revealed through GI’s May 2013 cover. The game serves as a prequel to Arkham Asylum and Arkham City.

Batman: Arkham Origins launches alongside its handheld companion Arkham Origins Blackgate October 25 on PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U. Based upon the screenshots from Game Informer, the title is likely to receive a next-gen console release as well.
