Batman: Arkham Origins will have a three faction multiplayer mode, but it isn’t being developed by Warner Bros. Montreal.
Origin’s multiplayer is an extension of the Invisible Predator sequences from previous games and is being developed by U.K. studio Splash Damage–the team behind Brink. Basically the game consists of three teams in a 3 vs. 3 vs. 2 format. Two teams will square off Joker and Bane plus goons, while a third team will take on the roles of Batman and Robin.
The game mode works similar to Battlefield, where both Bane and Joker’s teams have a respawn ticket count, and the aim being to reduce the enemy team’s ticket count to zero. Players can further reduce an opposing team’s ticket count by controlling points on the map.
Things work a little differently for Batman and Robin. They must raise the “Intimidation” level on the map to full so that both Bane and Joker’s teams decide to go home. Intimidation can be increased by performing takedowns, however if either Batman or Robin dies then that team takes an intimidation penalty.
