Gearbox Software revealed during a panel at PAX West (via Destructoid) that six new Borderlands-themed skins will be added to Battleborn later this year.
The premium character skins include a Maya skin for Alani, a Psycho skin for El Dragón, a Claptrap skin for ISIC, a Tiny Tina skin for Orendi, a Zer0 skin for Rath, and Maliwan armor for Caldarius.
According to the developer, these skins will be added to the game as part of an update this fall, which also contains a new PvP map and a number of character balance tweaks.
The game’s last major update was released in June and introduced Supercharge, a new free PvP game mode that takes the best parts of Meltdown and combines them with Capture to create a “whole new, fast-paced experience for smaller squads.”
Battleborn is available now as a free download on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Players have unlimited access to all competitive multiplayer modes and maps with no time limit or level cap, but only six of the game’s characters will be available at a time, with the roster of available characters rotating each week.
