Battlefield 3 Bipod Can Be Mounted On Cover As Well As Other Surfaces, Not Just When Prone

It was recently revealed that snipers would be able to use bipods on their rifles in order to improve accuracy.
Now it has been revealed that the bipod can be used on multiple surfaces including cover, not just when prone.
Alan Kertz revealed the information when asked by a fan on twitter about the bipod;
“@Demize99 @Earlydawn are bipods only for prone? Or could i crouch and set up on a railing or something?”
“@XEvilToast @earlydawn Yes you can deploy the bipod on various cover surfaces.”
