THE BUZZ: DICE community manager Daniel Matros has revealed that the next Battlefield 3 patch is currently going through certification at Microsoft and Sony.
The patch is set to introduce various bug fixes and balance changes, including the prevention of setting up mortars at spawn and making some ribbons easier to obtain.
EGM’s TAKE: Based on previous certification times you can expect the patch some time towards the end of next week. However, it has been known to take up to two weeks depending on what’s in the patch. Many fans will be looking forward to the mortar prevention fix as sitting in your own spawn is not skillful in any way.
