Battlefield 3 Console Servers Downtime Scheduled for Monday
Posted on January 25, 2013 AT 04:24am

Battlefield 3 servers on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will be offline late Monday night to allow for server migration.
The downtime will occur at 10:00pm PST on Monday, January 28 and will last eight hours, according to DICE. The developer states that the downtime will go toward optimizing Battlefield 3‘s online play, and added that players in the South U.S. region will see no changes to their current server lease periods.
However, anyone in the South U.S. region looking to rent a new server will have to use either the East U.S. or West U.S. regions when registering.
“Our Battlefield 3 console server migration will start at this time. Online gameplay will not be available on consoles during this operation. We will message once servers are starting to spin back up,” DICE wrote in a Battlelog post.
