The ECM is a confusing gadget, sometimes it will protect you and other times a missile will just smash right through destroying your plane. PixelEnemy and YouTube user “Luetin09″ have created a video to help explain its inner workings.

EGM’s TAKE: It’s obvious that many hours of work and research has gone into producing this video. This isn’t your usual “I said this so it must be true” video, they’ve tried every single possibility from several angles many times over to ensure that what they say is in fact correct. The video is set up almost like a documentary and is a pretty good watch. This is true science in video games.
