Battlefield 3 DLC Announcement Next Week

THE BUZZ: New Battlefield 3 DLC will be announced next week, EA has suggested during a recent investors call.

When asked a question about DLC for titles such as FIFA 12 and Battlefield 3, EA VP of Investor Relations Peter C. Ausnit answered: ”You’re going to hear some announcements from us on Battlefield actually as early as next week in an event we’ve got in New York.”

EGM’s TAKE: EA has been very quiet in regards to future DLC for Battlefield 3, however a couple of weeks ago it was teased that “new stuff” would be announced for the game, so the timeline certainly fits. But what could the DLC be? The obvious answer is new multiplayer maps, but what about the setting? Some rumors circulating at the moment seem to point to an all-American pack with maps set in the likes of New York and San Francisco. All should be revealed next week.
