Battlefield 3 Dog Tag Details

Posted on July 28, 2011 AT 11:50am

Dog tags in Battlefield 3 have been given an overhaul, not just in the way they look but also in how you collect them.

They will be completely customizable meaningeveryone’s dog tags will be unique making them like a calling card and adding extra weight to taking them.

We have hundreds of dog tags that can be your personal calling card. Every time you kill an enemy, they see your tags. Its your calling card its your place to brag, and dynamic tags can show off how great you are with a knife, a jet, or even show off your personal play style. explains Alan Kertz.

In Battlefield 3 simply knifing your opponent will not be enough to earn their dog tags, in order to take them you will have to get the jump on your opponent and sneak up behind them in order to perform one of the new knife take downs, netting yourself their dog tag.

Takedowns encourage players to get in there for stealth kills, and makes bringing a knife to a gun fight the risky but rewarding experience it was always meant to be.
