Battlefield 3 Gameplay Designer Explains The Reason For Only 24 Players On Consoles

Posted on July 1, 2011 AT 12:59pm

Battlefield 3 Senior Gameplay Designer, Alan Kertz has been answering fans twitter questions about the game.

He was asked by one user why Battlefield 3 would only support 24 players on consoles instead of 32.

“Why not be the number of players in multiplayer 32 players instead of 24 for the player?”

Performance. We want it to have good frame rate and look great!”

So it’s all about quality when it comes to Battlefield 3, which is never a bad thing.
