Battlefield 3

THE BUZZ: The massive Battlefield 3 patch that was detailed yesterday is now live on PlayStation 3.

The patch, weighing in at around 1GB, is available to download now in all territories except Japan, where it will be available starting April 4. DICE will offer details on the Xbox 360 and PC versions of the patch soon.

EGM’s TAKE: Pretty much every single issue that fans had with Battlefield 3 has been addressed in this patch. DICE has been working on it for months, and hopefully that hard work will pay off. We’re still not quite sure why the PlayStation 3 is getting the patch first. Maybe it has something to do with the deal between Sony and EA, or maybe the Xbox 360 and PC versions just have a bug that still needs addressing. Either way it shouldn’t be too long before it makes its way to those platforms.
