Battlefield 3

THE BUZZ: EA and DICE have released a new trailer for Battlefield 3, detailing the rent a server feature which has been added in the latest patch.

The patch, now live on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, allows users to rent their own servers, for a small fee, and customize every element of it such as maps, HUD, mini-map and much more.

EGM’s TAKE: This is the first time in Battlefield history that console players have been able to rent their own servers, a feature usually exclusive to PC versions. This opens a lot of opportunities for players to have some fun while playing, to create their own game modes and record new footage of crazy stunts. We can’t wait to see what the Battlefield 3 console community will do with this new feature.
