THE BUZZ: Karl-Magnus Troedsson, General Manager at DICE, has revealed that squad leaders will be able to call in artillery strikes, in Battlefield 3.
The artillery strike was originally something only a commander could call in, however now that commanders have been removed from the game, many of that character’s skills and abilities have been moved down to squad leaders. UAVs and Mortar Strikes will also be available as unlockables for anyone using the Engineer class.
EGM’s TAKE: Fans will be pleased to hear that even though the commander has been removed from the series, many of its abilities and skills will still be available.
