Even more Battlefield 3 insights to share with you thanks to Senior Gameplay Designer, Alan Kertz regarding Team Deathmatches.
A fan suggested to Kertz that Battlefield shouldn’t track Kill/Death ratios and should only track Win/Loss ratios.
“TDM? K/D ruins teamwork. PLZ for the love of Odin, don’t make that a tracked stat. W/L. That is all. #BF3″
To which he replied;
“We track Kills and Deaths, showing the ratio is just a convinence. TDM should attract KD ppl away from objective modes.”
I think this is a good idea as it means that only people interested in teamwork will be playing the objective based modes.
