EA has announced that Battlefield 4‘s final DLC pack, Final Stand, will now launch during EA’s fiscal third quarter, presumably due to the recent delay of Battlefield: Hardline.
CEO Andrew Wilson confirmed during EA’s Q1 2015 earnings call that the DLC will now launch at some point between October and December 2014. Originally, Final Stand was penciled in for a summer release. If I had to guess, I’d say the decision was taken to push back Final Stand to fill in the gap left by Battlefield Hardline’s delay.
Last night, DICE revealed that Visceral Games’ Battlefield Hardline was being delayed until 2015. “We are doing all of this for one reason,” DICE vice president and group general manager Karl Magnus Troedsson said. “Because we want Battlefield Hardline to be the best game it can be, and so that we can create the best environment for a smooth launch for our players.”
Battlefield 4: Dragon’s Teeth, the latest DLC pack, went live for Battlefield Premium members last week, and will be available for non-Premium members from July 29.
