DICE has started rolling out a new server update for Battlefield 4 on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC, which fixes a couple of Commander bugs and unlocks the M1911 pistol scope for all players.
The developer warns that the update may disconnect you from your match temporarily when it reaches you. The M1911 scope was promised to all players as part of the Player Appreciation Program, which DICE ran as an apology for the game’s server issues at launch. The scope has 3X zoom and can be used by all classes as long as the pistol is unlocked. The patch notes can be found below:
- Unlocks the M1911 scope for all players
- Fix for battlepack boost time not being used when playing as Commander
- Fix for rank getting capped to 100 when playing as tablet Commander
This server update follows title updates for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC versions of the game to fix the “one-hit kill” bug.
Earlier this week EA announced that DICE would be suspended all work on Battlefield 4 expansions until it had fixed the majority of issues plaguing the game’s multiplayer.
