DICE general manager Karl Magnus Troedsson celebrated the 10-year anniversary of the Battlefield series at GDC Europe today.

According to Troedsson the series has served over 50 million players since it began, he also went on to say that DICE is still in love with the franchise. Since release the latest iteration, Battlefield 3, has shipped over 12 million copies. The next game, Battlefield 4, is expected to release at the end of 2013.
