Battleifeld V‘s first official trailer has been revealed, with a release date detailing when us gamers can begin enjoying all of the trailer’s action for ourselves.
The reveal trailer looks to be a mix of cinematics and gameplay, crunching in as many teases about the multiplayer experience as it can. The game’s classic destruction and massive-scale firefights are back, but the trailer hinted a number of the game’s new features as well, such as the game’s new movement and reaction animations for soldiers, giving players better control over their character position. There are also some details only more hardcore Battlefield fans will pick up on, like falling debris and crashing aerial vehicles actually having weight and impact on the environment, but this is more speculation at this point.
As Battlefield V‘s war continues, players will no longer need to throw down extra cash to continue the fight. During the reveal, developer DICE announced that Battlefield V will not offer the series’ traditional Premium Pass, instead making all post-launch content free for all players.
Battlefield V is slated to launch October 19th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Gamers subscribed to EA and Origin Access will get to start playing the game on October 11th, with those that pick up the game’s Deluxe Edition able to jump in on October 16th. Pre-ordering the game will grant early access to its open beta.
