Star Fox

Hideki Kamiya is one of the most outspoken game developers on Twitter, and the recent announcement of Bayonetta 2 as a Wii U exclusive sent him into overdrive. As always, he’s dropped some interesting quips.

Most of all, the director of the original Bayonetta doesn’t care if you’re mad about Bayonetta 2, and he’s not afraid to tell people so, with fan reactions ranging from reasonable to the outright crazy.

However, the dialogue eventually shifted when Kamiya began answering off-the-cuff questions at random.

As it turns out, Kamiya would apparently like to work with Nintendo a bit more closely. He’s even suggesting that he’d be interested in making a new Star Fox game, if an opportunity like that ever came up in the near future:

Another fan asked about the possibly of Bayonetta (the character) being included in the next Super Smash Bros title. Kamiya only stated that Masahiro Sakurai (currently working on the yet-to-be-titled Super Smash Bros. 4) would have to get behind the idea, and with Bayonetta 2 heading to Wii U, that’s about the only prerequisite that seems necessary to get her involved.

Both ideas seem completely within the realm of possibility, and in the case of Star Fox, the Wii U’s WiiPad controller seems perfectly suited for simulating a view within the cockpit of an Arwing. If you have a question for the developer, make sure to hit him up on Twitter—watch your spelling and grammar, though.
