Thoroughly impressed by the “Agni’s Philosophy” real-time tech demo Square Enix showed during E3 2012? Check out these behind-the-scenes videos to get a better look at the level of detail in “Agni’s Philosophy.”

Honestly, when I first saw the tech demo, I thought to myself: I want this game. Then I looked at Final Fantasy XIII and thought twice about that sentiment. I think I’d rather have this film—unless Square Enix learns from the colossal mess that was the latest Final Fantasy. Still, it was purdy (though that’s not why I play Final Fantasy games … ), and it looks like Square Enix’s next-gen endeavors are going to be equally gorgeous.

I mean, we’re talking about beard thickness, perspiration, face and hair texture, et cetera all tweakable via slider.
