EverQuest Next beta registration is now open to North American and European players, Sony Online Entertainment revealed in a recent post on the game’s official forums.
Interested parties can sign up to access EverQuest Next Landmark’s beta through the official website, or EverQuest Next—depending on their region—through the European, German, or U.K. sites. North American and all other regions can find the EQN beta sign-up official website.
Sony Online Entertainment unveiled EverQuest Next and Landmark earlier this year. Set in a reimagined Norrath, Next looks to shake up the MMO scene by doing away with traditional leveling in favor of 40 distinct classes with multi-tiered abilities and skills that can be mixed and matched to create distinct, unique characters tailored to a player’s preferred play-style. EverQuest Next Landmark, which launches this winter, is a sandbox-style game in the same vein as Minecraft. Players who participate in Landmark will have the opportunity to contribute to the construction of environmental pieces that will appear in Next.
EverQuest Next is expected to hit Windows PC sometime next year.
