The hype for Funcom’s newest rpg installment The Secret World has many gamers ready to get their hands on the game. The Secret World takes place on Earth in an alternate reality where 3 factions run the show, The Dragons, Templars, and Illuminati. Each one has their own weapons and style based on katanas, magic, and guns.

Funcom has released information about the beta opening at 2pm EST, players can signup for the Alternate Reality Game at the website at www.thesecretworld.com.  From there gamers can play choose to either do nothing. wait for their beta invite or they can rank up to the highest rank and be guaranteed a beta entry. Playing this game will also allow you to unlock rewards and items players can use in the game when it is released in April of 2012.
