Due to an unholy pact that the warriors of the land of Bethesda have made with the dark lords of the house of Microsoft, Skyrim‘s latest DLC—Dragonborn—will be exclusive to the Xbox 360 when it hits tomorrow. However, word of its arrival to those poor wretches in the kingdoms of PC and PS3 has finally come.
Okay, fine—so maybe that’s not exactly a proper explanation of the situation. It sounds much more interesting, though!
Anyhow, this morning on the official Bethesda Blog, the release of Dragonborn on both PC and the PS3 was made official:
“We’re also happy to announce Dragonborn will be available on PS3 and PC early next year.”
For you PC gamers out there, I’m sure you’re none too happy to see yet another batch of Skyrim DLC being a timed exclusive for the Xbox 360 version. For PS3 fans, emotions may be mixed. If you aren’t exactly holding your breath for this DLC to come your way, I certainly wouldn’t blame you—however, Bethesda saying that so clearly makes me feel like it might actually, truly be happening this time. That, or they’ve gotten a little too over-confident in their ability to get Dragonborn to work on the PS3.
