Bethesda Insists Skyrim Hearthfire Development Is Not the Reason Behind Dawnguard’s PS3 Delay

Bethesda has insisted that development of the recently announced Hearthfire DLC for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is not the reason behind the delayed Dawnguard DLC on PlayStation 3.
Fans are understandably very angry and upset at the news of a second piece of DLC coming to Xbox 360 next week when the PlayStation 3 is still yet to receive the first piece. Gamers took to Twitter to question Bethesda marketing chief Pete Hines.
“Fans are upset at the idea of Xbox getting a 2nd DLC when PS3 hasn’t had #dawnguard released yet. Any reaction?” one fan asked.
“We are working on multiple projects, even beyond those two things,” Hines replied. “The entire team doesn’t work on one thing at a time.”
“But is it going to be delayed because of Hearthfire being in development?” another inquired.
“No, they are separate things,” Hines replied.
So it appears that there’s just simply a major problem with the PlayStation 3 and Dawnguard, quite what that is we’re not sure as all we’ve been told is performance issues. However, until it is resolved PlayStation 3 owners are going to be left out in the cold.
