Bethesda Softworks Looking for Playtesters for ‘Upcoming and Released Games’

Posted on December 3, 2013 AT 11:14am

Bethesda Softworks is currently accepting applications for playtesters for “upcoming and released games,” according to a page on the company’s official website.

To qualify, applicants need to be at least 18 years old, cannot be employed by a videogame developer, publisher, our journalistic outlet, and must accept that this is a voluntary activity—not a paid position within Bethesda.

While they’re specifically looking for testers in or near the Dallas/Forth Worth area, which is about where id Software is located (nearer to Austin are Battlecry Studios and Arkane Studios, the rest of the ZeniMax subsidiaries are scattered across the U.S. and globe). Bethesda is accepting applications from all over the U.S. The only caveat to that is that applicants must provide their own means of transportation—the company itself won’t be flying anyone out for “an hour or two” of playtesting.

Interested parties can sign up on Bethesda’s Play Test Registration page.
