E3 2018 is fast approaching, and companies are gearing up to show off their upcoming games. While Bethesda is preparing for a big year, it seems that the company’s livestreamed showcase may be a short presentation.
Speaking in response to a fan’s inquiry on Twitter, Bethesda vice president Pete Hines revealed that the upcoming showcase “won’t be three hours long,” and, from context, will likely be significantly shorter, though he declined to give a direct length.
I’m not going to give out a time. I assure you it won’t be three hours long

Past Bethesda briefings have been brief compared to presentations from Sony and Microsoft, which often run between an hour and two hours long. In comparison, last year’s Bethesda showcase lasted just 39 minutes.
However, this year Bethesda plans to have a lot to show off. Earlier, Pete Hines speculated that this year “might be our longest E3 showcase ever,” meaning that the presentation may pass that one-hour mark. A papercraft-style announcement video showed off many characters from past popular Bethesda games, and it’s likely that Rage 2 and perhaps Bethesda’s big new secret RPG will be included in the mix.
Bethesda’s showcase will be held on Sunday, June 10th. The livestream will begin at 6:30 p.m. PT.
