THE BUZZ: As promised, Sony has pulled the curtain back from its October 5 surprise. SURPRISE! You can now see the full trailer, teased last week.

Ever since releasing a teaser trailer last week, PlayStation fans have been waiting for Sony’s announcement, and while many of us thought the big reveal might be nothing more than the launch of a new advertising campaign, we all hoped for something more substantial.

Unfortunately, a new commercial is what we got, albeit a pretty cool one. The add, the full version of last week’s teaser, features a plethora of icon game characters, including Kratos, Nathan Drake, Solid Snake and a particularly creepy looking Little Sister. You can check the whole ad out below.

EGM’s TAKE: Seriously, companies are going to start making events out of advertising? What’s next, are they going to throw pep rallies to celebrate price hikes? Maybe a cheer squad to announce sales figures? Come one guys, you’re making us feel like Ralphie from A Christmas Story. When we finally get our decoder ring we want more than a crummy Ovaltine commercial!
