BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea Will Reintroduce the Weapon Wheel

Posted on October 9, 2013 AT 11:57am

BioShock Infinite‘s first story-driven DLC “Burial at Sea” will bring back the original BioShock‘s weapon wheel, creator Ken Levine and level designer Andres Gonzalez revealed during a Reddit AMA held last night.

In addition to bringing back the weapon wheel, Burial at Sea will also introduce a new weapon, a new Plasmid, new gear, new Tear forms, and upgrades for the Plasmids and the new weapon.

“Because we wanted to bring players to Rapture before the fall, we basically rebuilt Rapture from scratch and reworked the gameplay systems to offer a unique experience that has elements of the original BioShock, but is built in the BioShock Infinite engine,” Gonzalez wrote. “What we ended up with was an experience that feels new and unique.”

Toward the end of the AMA, Levine also took the opportunity to implore artists to stop creating pornographic artwork of Elizabeth.

“Seriously whoever is doing the Elizabeth porn on Deviantart, please stop it,” Levine wrote. “You’re killing me. It’s like coming across a picture of your daughter. I die a little inside with every page view.”

You can check out the full AMA on Reddit. Irrational Games also released footage of the first five minutes from Burial at Sea – Episode 1 yesterday, which you may or may not want to view at your own risk.
