THE BUZZ: Many were wondering what Irrational would use to replace Bioshock’s Big Daddy. Well, now we have the answer: A giant robotic George Washington.

The ‘Motorized Patriot’ is a giant robotic George Washington who walks around with a Gatling gun. It doesn’t get much more scary than that.

“He’s completely fearless,” Ken Levine said. “He doesn’t have a sense of self-preservation, so he’ll just keep coming at you and coming at you.”

The Patriot’s weapons is known as the Pepper Mill and killing him will allow you to pick it up and use it.

“These are enemies that are used to not just be more powerful, but to augment the abilities of the more traditional BioShock enemies,” Levine added. “You’re going to come across them in certain areas of the game, and they’re going to provide a really unique challenge.”

EGM’s TAKE: You get passed one psycho enemy with a giant weapon and there’s another one waiting for you right round the corner. This is like something out of a horror film, a giant statue coming to life wielding a Gatling gun. There’s some twisted imaginations over at Irrational, but we have to give them credit as it’s a really cool idea. We can’t wait to down our first and run rampant with that gun.
