BioWare has officially announced that the Cathar will be added as a playable race in game update 2.1 “Customization.”

The Cathar will be unlockable via an account wide Cartel market purchase priced at 600 Cartel Coins, the developer confirmed in an interview with Gamingface. All eight classes and both genders will have access to the race, according to BioWare.

Players will also gain access to a new emote that is exclusive to the Cathar. As an added bonus new customizations will be made available for Aric Jordan, the Trooper’s Cathar companion.

So far all we know is that the Cathar will be included in 2.1, but expect other customization options such as the promised barber shop to be announced in the coming weeks.
