BioWare planning to implement Kinect voice commands in Dragon Age: Inquisition

Posted on April 11, 2014 AT 05:52am

BioWare is planning on supporting Kinect voice commands in the Xbox 360 and Xbox One version of Dragon Age: Inquisition, similar to those found in Mass Effect 3.

“We’re expecting that Xbox 360 and Xbox One editions will ship with a Kinect-enabled voice command feature, just like Mass Effect 3 did,” creative director Mike Laidlaw told OXM.

The developer also has rough plans to support SmartGlass, but only if it makes sense, according to producer Cameron Lee. ”It needs to make sense, of course, but we want Inquisition to be an experience you can take with you everywhere – to work, the commute home, the living room, bed.”

Yesterday, BioWare revealed that it would not release any DLC characters for the game, due to them having to be partially shipped on the game disc. The developer stated that there had been controversy in the past regarding on-disk DLC and it wanted to avoid this.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is set to release in Q3 of this year for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC.
