BioWare has announced that starting this April players will no longer be able to log-in to their Star Wars: The Old Republic account using their email address.
From April 2 players will have to log-in to both the game and website using their display names to further increase the game’s security. ”This change increases the security of our game authentication system, which helps continue to keep the game protected from many security threats including account takeovers,” the developer said.
If you’re unsure of what your display name is you can log into the game’s official website now using your email address to find out. Players can use their display name to log-in to the game from now, but it will become mandatory after April 2.
