BioWare Unsure If Future Mass Effect Games Will Feature Multiplayer

THE BUZZ: BioWare, although confident about the upcoming Galaxy at War addition to Mass Effect 3, is unsure if multiplayer will feature in future Mass Effect titles.
When Aaryn Flynn of BioWare was asked if multiplayer would become a staple of the series he replied: ”It’s a good question, I’m not too sure about that.”
“There’s a lot more happening than just Commander Shepard going off to fight the Reapers – everyone else is fighting the Reapers too and all their minions. So the idea is: what’s going on there, what can we explore with that, what kind of gameplay can we have there? And multiplayer’s just one way we’re looking into that,” he continued. ”It’s optional because we want people to play single player if their focus is just single player, but it’s another way you can get some cool things happening in single player besides just playing lots of single player.”
EGM’s TAKE: It’s obvious that BioWare are going to sit back and see what sort of reception fans give to multiplayer in Mass Effect 3, and if its a success then expect to see it appear in future titles.
Would you like to see multiplayer in future titles? Or is it a bad idea? Leave your thoughts below.
