Pearl Abyss CFO Brian Oh has revealed that while nothing is set in stone yet, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One ports of its upcoming Korean MMO Black Desert are in the “initial study phase.”

According to Oh, the developer is in talks with both Sony and Microsoft, but a console port of the MMO still isn’t a certainty. “Yes, we have interest in converting Black Desert into console platform. In addition, we had got already an initial meeting with Sony and MS,” Oh told DualShockers.

“However, it is very early to mention the possibility of conversion at this stage, because we are carefully studying the technical and business issues,” he added. “To summarize, we are [in the] very initial study phase at this time.”

It was revealed late last year that Pearl Abyss is currently working on an English version of the game’s client.
