Black Ops 2–First Week U.K. Call of Duty Sales Down 20 Percent Year-on-Year

U.K. launch week sales for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 are reportedly down 20 percent compared to last year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
This is according to MCV which claims to have been informed of the annual drop in sales by various U.K. retailers. This doesn’t mean that the game was a failure by any means, it still enjoyed the fourth biggest U.K. launch of all-time and the biggest launch of 2012.
Black Ops 2‘s first week U.K. sales have only been bettered by Modern Warfare 3, Modern Warfare 2, and the original Black Ops, so it didn’t do too badly, but many will see this is the wheels finally coming off the Call of Duty behemoth.
Black Ops 2 released last week on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
