Black Ops 2 Grosses $1 Billion Worldwide in 15 Days

Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has grossed $1 billion in just 15 days, sticking it to analysts who believe that the series is starting to falter.

The publisher announced that Black Ops 2 had reached this figure in just 15 days, one day quicker than Modern Warfare 3 which took 16 days to hit the milestone last year. This figure is based on internal sell-through estimates, official Chart-Track information, and retail data.

This information flies in the faces of several analysts who believe that the series is beginning to plateau following a drop in day one sales for the title compared to previous entries. Activision stated that this new milestone shows “the strong appeal of interactive entertainment to audiences worldwide.”
