The reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4‘s Signature Weapons was unclear as to which weapons would support the high-end redesigns, but developer Treyarch Studios recently confirmed the shooter’s entire arsenal will boast Signature Weapon variants, at least at launch.
In a recent interview with Game Rant at the Toronto Fan Expo, game designer Tony Flame assured players that every weapon available at launch would come with a Signature variant. As specified in the feature’s original reveal, these variants do nothing to a weapon’s stats, but they will deck the guns out in some truly crazy cosmetics.
Only two Signature Weapon designs have been revealed so far, one for the MX-9 submachine gun, and one for the Strife pistol. The MX-9 submachine gun Signature Weapon can be earned day one by getting the Digital Deluxe, Digital Deluxe Enhanced, Pro Edition, or Mystery Box Edition of Black Ops 4, while the Strife Signature Weapon can be acquired by preordering the game at GameStop.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is slated to launch October 12th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The beta for the game’s Blackout battle royale mode is only a few short days away, with the mode’s map recently revealed on Twitter.
