BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Announced, Heading To Japanese Arcades

Arc System Works has officially announced their newest BlazBlue title, which will make its appearance in Japanese arcades this winter. Complete with an extensive three-minute trailer recapping what looks like the entire character roster, BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma was revealed at BlueFes in Tokyo, which wrapped up this weekend.

Several returning characters are highlighted in the gameplay footage, along with three new characters: Amane Nishiki, Bullet, and Azrael.

BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma wasn’t announced for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, but considering that BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger and Continuum Shift were eventual multiplatform releases, it’s safe to assume that the two consoles will be getting release dates at some point in the future.

BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma will be the fourth game in the Arc System Works’ series, although Continuum Shift had major revisions with BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II and BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend, which were each ported to various home and handheld consoles. Check out the trailer below, via Famitsu’s YouTube channel.
