BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Announced, Heading To Japanese Arcades
Posted on August 5, 2012 AT 12:49pm
Arc System Works has officially announced their newest BlazBlue title, which will make its appearance in Japanese arcades this winter. Complete with an extensive three-minute trailer recapping what looks like the entire character roster, BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma was revealed at BlueFes in Tokyo, which wrapped up this weekend.
Several returning characters are highlighted in the gameplay footage, along with three new characters: Amane Nishiki, Bullet, and Azrael.
BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma wasn’t announced for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, but considering that BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger and Continuum Shift were eventual multiplatform releases, it’s safe to assume that the two consoles will be getting release dates at some point in the future.
BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma will be the fourth game in the Arc System Works’ series, although Continuum Shift had major revisions with BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II and BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend, which were each ported to various home and handheld consoles.
