Blizzard All-Stars Renamed Heroes of the Storm

Posted on October 17, 2013 AT 12:55pm

Blizzard All-Stars has been rebranded Heroes of the Storm, developer and publisher Blizzard announced today via animated short produced by Car Bot Animations.

“Yep, we’ve changed it again,” reads the YouTube description.

Speculation about the name change first surfaced in September, when Blizzard filed the Heroes of the Storm trademark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

The video description also recommends that fans “set aside” whatever they think they know about Blizzard All-Stars and expect more information about Heroes of the Storm come this year’s BlizzCon, which is scheduled to kick off Friday, November 8 and last through Saturday, November 9.

Heroes of the Storm is a formal follow up to Defense of the Ancients, a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) mod for Warcraft III, and features heroes from Warcraft, Diablo, and StarCraft.
