THE BUZZ: It appears that the final stages for Diablo III’s release are finally being set into motion as Blizzard today announced the official end date for the current beta.

The beta will shut down May 1 ahead of the game’s official release May 15.

EGM’s TAKE: Die hard Diablo fans will have to survive a couple of weeks without any play time at all before the game’s release, but we’re sure it will just make launch day even sweeter. It’s been many years since the game was announced, but now it finally feels like the end is in sight.
