THE BUZZ: Blizzard has revealed some details about patch 1.5 for StarCraft 2.
Update 1.5 “will be our most feature-laden patch to date,” says game director Dustin Browder. The patch is set to lay the foundations for the upcoming expansion, Heart of the Swarm.
“One of the most significant additions will be the all new Arcade feature which includes improved custom game visibility, ratings, reviews, game instructions, screenshot support, and more,” he continued. ”Patch 1.5 will also include significant improvements throughout the overall user interface, streaming support, antialiasing, editor and modding upgrades, new art tools, and more.”
More details on the upcoming patch can be found here.
EGM’s TAKE: Blizzard used to be the IT factor of the PC world, but we fear that they are slowly losing their grip. The team is taking far too long pushing patches out of the door, meaning that every day they fall another step behind their competitors. Quick and reliable content patches are the future and unless Blizzard starts to realize this, they may find their crown being recalled.
