Blizzard has offered up some details regarding the upcoming Hearthstone beta wipe that will accompany a new patch.

According to the developer, the wipe will cause a player’s gold, experience, class levels, unlocked cards, and arcane dust quantities to be reset to 0, basically turning everyone back into new players. Blizzard noted at the beginning of the beta that a wipe would be occurring at some point, so this shouldn’t come as a shock to most.

The wipe will coincide with the release of a “pretty major” patch, details of which are set to be revealed in the near future. Players will be reimbursed for all real-money spent following the wipe. An equivalent gold value will be given to all players for any card packs or Arena entry tickets purchased with real-money. There are no plans for another wipe after this one.
