Blizzard, maker of all things Warcraft and Starcraft, has registered a new trademark with United States Patent and Trademark Office for something game-related called Heroes of the Storm.
According to the USPTO’s official website, the trademark application was filed early last week, on September 24, listed for “computer game software, computer game discs, downloadable computer game software,” and other names related to interactive media.
Blizzard has made no mention of nor announcement about the mysterious title. Word on the Net is that it pertains to Blizzard All-Stars, the rebranded Blizzard DOTA project announced in May 2012 in the wake of the company’s DOTA trademark dispute with Valve.
Blizzard All-Stars is described as an action real-time strategy game featuring heroes from Warcraft, Diablo, and Starcraft.
