Blizzard has revealed that it has no plans to increase the level cap currently on offer in its free-to-play trial.
“You know, we looked at it lots, we looked at whether Level 20 would give you a good sense of what our game is, and we think it does. There’s also a lot of things in the game that are special that we want to reserve for our paying customers,” Blizzard’s lead game producer, John Lagrave told CVG.
The game’s free Starter Edition allows players to play until level 20 and then they have to buy the game to continue leveling past this point. With many of the game’s competitors going, or having gone, free-to-play it would make sense for Blizzard to offer more of the game to players for free.
