Remember Jetpack Cat, the rejected Overwatch hero that everyone wants? He’s back—in concept art form, at least.

Blizzcon 2017 brought a lot of surprises for Overwatch fans, including the reveal of a new support character, Moira, and a new theme park-style map, but it also brought us another glimpse of Overwatch‘s early days.

As it turns out, Jetpack Cat was far from the weirdest hero concept to be left on the cutting room floor. Concept art released at Blizzcon reveals that at one point the Overwatch team had seriously considered adding a tiny jetpack-fueled monkey, a bipedal crocodile with airplane wings, some sort of gargoyle/wyvern, and a tiny implike baby with its head on fire to the game.

Some of the other characters, while still human, were pretty weird. As another concept art compilation shows, we almost saw a fully-suited human wielding a harpoon, some sort of wispy alien, and a figure known only as the Hockey Hero. Canada’s favorite sport still made it into the final game in the form of a Lúcio skin, but the DJ we know and love now doesn’t take his sport nearly as seriously as this guy.

Finally, there’s an entire wall of early ideas for heroes and abilities. If you look closely, you’ll see some familiar faces. Reaper, Hanzo, and Winston made it into the game more-or-less unchanged from their appearances here, while others are more mixed up. Angelica became Mercy; Symmetra kept her name but not her design; Frost morphed into Mei; Ironclad became Torbjörn (but dropped his bowling ball). Others are completely new, but would have been fantastic—when are we getting Mama Hong, Blizzard?

While we probably won’t see any of these rejected hero concepts, we do have a new hero to test out. Moira, the devil-horned healer, is available to play now on the PTR version of Overwatch.
