Blizzard has released a brief teaser video for Overwatch‘s anniversary event that reveals three new arena maps.

The three maps on show in the video below are set in new areas of maps already in the game: Eichenwalde, Temple of Anubis, and Dorado.

Blizzard states that these are “arena maps,” but it’s unknown if this is a tease for a new game mode, or if the developer is simply referring to the 1v1 and 3v3 modes already available in the game. Blizzard previously revealed plans to add new maps to the game’s 3v3 mode, which is currently limited to Ecopoint: Antarctica.

Overwatch‘s first anniversary event kicks off next week on May 23rd, but exact details about the event have not been shared.

Game director Jeff Kaplan recently confirmed that an update coming next week will refresh Overwatch’s standard loot boxes with a number of new items.
