Borderlands 2 Exploit Now Patched On Xbox 360
Posted on November 6, 2012 AT 03:18pm
A little over a week ago, Gearbox Software announced that a patch was coming for an exploit in the Xbox 360 version of Borderlands 2 that could damage some players’ save files. Today, that patch has arrived.
Basically, if an Xbox 360 player wanted to be a royal a-hole, they could use a piece of third-party exploit software to damage the save files of fellow Borderlands 2 players that they met online.
Today, that exploit has been patched, and the patch notes released from Gearbox read as follows:
11/6/12 Update
Added security to prevent data loss tied to malicious violations of the Xbox Live Code of Conduct through an unsupported third-party program.
So, it’s safe once again to go online and have fun playing with strangers without fear that they’ll sabotage your save file.
